How to Help

FND Advocacy

One Voice

One voice, my voice. Shook the earth and shifted the continents.
One idea, my idea. Echoed off the water and rippled through the oceans.
One person, me. Changed the perspective of the world.

One voice.
One idea.
One person.
I made the change.

My words are powerful.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN ADVOCATE?

According to the Alliance for Justice advocacy is, “The act of pleading or arguing in favor of something, such as a cause, idea, or policy.”

At FND Hope we believe advocacy is the most empowering act we can become involved in. It is not merely pleading or arguing a cause or idea. It is giving a voice to a deeper passion within us. It is exposing injustice when it is uncomfortable, and it is choosing to no longer be bonded by fear. Unless we step out of the shadows and lend not only a voice but a face to this terrible illness nothing will change.

Advocacy is the choice to respond differently to social norms. It is a verb because it requires action to change the world in which we live. FND Hope invites you to join our global FND movement and feel empowered to elicit change in a more positive and meaningful way.

Let’s make a difference together!

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO ADVOCATE, WE INVITE NOT ONLY THOSE WHO BATTLE FUNCTIONAL SYMPTOMS BUT THEIR FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, AND COMMUNITIES TO UNITE TOGETHER TO SUPPORT FND AWARENESS.
